However, the most common one is dressing in layers. That’s what we’ll begin with.
Layers
It is a very common way of keeping yourself warm. It is usually advisable to dress in three layers.
The base layer can be polyester, silk or some other material with the ability to wick sweat away from your skin.
The middle layer is the insulating layer, which actually keeps you warm. Sweaters, sweatshirts will all work well as the middle layer.
The out layer is mainly to block the wind or rain from reaching your skin. It is less about keeping you warm. In most cases, waterproof coats are used.

Space
One mistake that people make about dressing against cold, is wearing tight-fitting pieces. This rather makes it easier for cold air to reach your skin.
Space helps to keep you warm. For example, a good-fitting wool sweater that creates a thin boundary layer of air between your skin and the environment is good.
Also, you need enough room to wear 2-3 layers underneath your coat, so move one size up from what you’d normally wear if you’re not sure about how much room you’ll have underneath.
Hats, gloves, and socks
There are parts of your body which are very sensitive to cold like the ears, hands and feet.
Once you succeed to cover these parts, you’ll have little work to do to fully keep yourself warm.
Protect the extremities by wearing a hat that covers your ears, waterproof gloves, and wool socks.
For the ears, if you don’t want to use a hat or if you want to keep your hair styled, you can use earmuffs which are a good replacement. Your ears don’t naturally have a lot of protection, so it’s important to keep them warm.
It should be noted that keeping yourself warm is the first step to preventing cold-related illnesses. It is better you spend to protect yourself, than to pay for medication after falling ill as a result of exposure to unfavourable weather conditions.[/vc_column_text]
