How to dress your body type

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It is always important to dress with respect to your body type. It gives you great looks in which you feel awesome. It is true that trends change very fast, and it’s not always easy to know how to adapt them for our unique (and beautiful!) body shapes.

Check out the body shapes below to know where you fit, and how to take advantage of it.

Pear Shaped Body Type (aka triangle shape)

You know that you have this body type if; your waist is wider than your bust, you consider yourself to have fuller hips, you have narrower shoulders in comparison to your hips, you have a fuller rear.

Pear shapes have the unique advantage of looking great in every pair of jeans imaginable and making dainty tops look even daintier with their narrower shoulders

They look fabulous in statement tops that draw the eye upward and highlight the waist, back, or neckline. Accessories like dramatic necklaces and earrings are their secret weapon.

Hourglass Shaped Body Type (aka curvy shape)

You may be this body type if; you’d describe your body as curvy, you have a well-defined waist, your bust and hip measurements are roughly even, you may have fuller bust, hips, and thighs.

The hourglass figure is the envy of almost every woman.

The key to dressing an hourglass shape is two-fold: 1) define your waist and 2) show off your lovely lady shape. You have amazing curves—it’s time to embrace them in body-hugging silhouettes and pieces that hit you in all the right places.

Apple Shaped Body Type (aka inverted triangle)

What makes you know that you have the Apple-shaped body is when you are generally well-proportioned, your shoulders are broader than your hips, you are not necessarily as curvy through your hips, you don’t have a well-defined waistline.

When it comes to styling the apple shape, it is exciting. You can dress the shape and play up your most favorite features.

It is common to see persons of this shape with broad shoulders. It looks best when playing up their full bust, their amazing legs and/or their arms. In general, silhouettes that don’t rely on a traditionally structured waistline are the hardest working pieces here.

Athletic Shaped Body Type (aka rectangle or straight shape)

In this case, you’re not particularly curvy, your shoulders and hip measurements are nearly the same, your waist isn’t very small or well-defined, but rather straight up and down, and your weight is fairly evenly distributed throughout your body.

With this body type, keep the volume on top or bottom. If you go for an oversized top shape, keep the bottom skinny or structured. With a more form-fitting top, pick a breezy or more oversized pant style.

Every body is different. If you’re not one of these shapes—that’s ok! The dressing guidelines are best used as a starting point to understand the basics. You could still understand how to dress your shape by looking at women who are just like you.[/vc_column_text]
